About Daniel
Daniel Goulding was born in Mareeba, the sunshine state of Queensland, the island continent and country of Australia. Early on he worked in finance as a Portfolio Manager. Well-versed in the history of financial markets and economic thought, he wrote and presented for the Australian Investors Association on several occasions. In 2010, he contributed to a book regarding the episode of hyperinflation in post-WWI Germany. Ultimately discovering that his real passion in life was research and writing, and with a burgeoning interest in the environment and conservation, he left the finance industry to pursue his new calling.
He fell in love with Slovenia - the birthplace of his maternal grandparents - at first sight, when visiting with his parents to see relatives. With every subsequent visit, this love tryst continued to blossom. With a deep yearning to learn more about his heritage as well as that of the country itself, coupled with the idea for an authentic Slovene fairy tale that had been percolating in his subconscious ever since he set his gaze on Slovenia’s idyllic landscapes, he decided to relocate in 2019.
Daniel currently resides in Bohinjska Bistrica, near the Lake at the End of the World, where clouds are born. When he isn't off mingling with fairies in some hidden corner of Slovenia, he enjoys taking his loved ones on adventures to explore the enchanting, real-life locations that inspired his fairy tale.

“Some men see things as they are and say, why; I dream things that never were and say, why not.”
